Egypt; Medical Assistance Services & Social Media

When the revolution was peaking the beginning of February, and hardly any tourists were present in Egypt, I was quite surprised about the power of Social Media like Twitter, Facebook etc..I think it really made a difference getting the message across.

At the same time it made me wonder if we could not use the obvious benefits of “real-time” sharing more to our advantage in the medical assistance field…think about it for a minute: Almost every tourist, business traveler and expat has at least a Blackberry, iPhone or some other smart device and is 24h online….are we ever to leave E-mail as according anybody under the age of 25 it is too slow and dead anyway….

What do you think? Should it open more possibilities? Or maybe you are already using it now until a certain extend.
